Hope & a Future

For Kern County’s women & children in need

The Need:

Safe shelter and addiction recovery programs for women and children.

Who’s homeless in Kern County?

On a single night…

115 Children

160 single women, some with children

11% fleeing domestic violence

Adopt a Room

YOU can help welcome women AND their children home.

When you adopt a room at the Mission’s Lee & Krystyna Jamieson Recovery Home for Women & Children, you’ll help cover operational costs for one year. That means hundreds of meals and nights of safe shelter, plus recovery services throughout the year to help women and children get back on their feet.

Adopt a Family

Provide necessities to create a safe haven for a mother and her children for 1 year.

$2,500 per individual

Break the cycle of poverty by providing education to an individual.

Kitchen Operations

Provide kitchen essentials so that we can allow mothers to cook.

Room Naming

A year of operating costs and an illuminated plaque with your name.

Provide a vehicle to help deliver and pick up goods throughout the community.

Your room adoption provides…

 – 3 nourishing meals a day – just $2.05 each!

– Safe shelter for up to 30 women & children.

– Bible study, mentoring, life-skills development, job placement and recovery to support whole families.

“The Mission gets women off the streets, gives them a place to stay and helps them see their worth. Now I have hope, support and love.” – Crystal
